C2E Pressure Radio Show – 02-August-2012 – In Da Ghetto

Mainly new stuff this week, although we do have some classics towards the end.

Opening track is a real tasty deep house number from Timo Beridze, thanks to Simon Caldwell for introducing me to it at a recent event in Sydney.
The first 30 minutes is a voyage into the deep with some nice rolling thunder.
We transition into the vocals of which we have a few. Some nice vocal tracks been released recently from The Layabouts, Ziggy Funk and an epic remix by the legendary Josh Milan.

Purely by chance we have two Ghetto tracks this week, hence the title. First is in the deep section – “Ghetto Love” by Desos, and then as we toughen up the vocals we have Chris Rob’s “Ghetto People” complete with cheeky Jill Scott acapella.

We turn the clock back for Lou2 – Freaky a track that is 17 years old now but still sounding great. My bouncy track of the week has to be Juilo Bashmore’s “Au Seve”. We ease out with “10 Jay St” which I first heard on Trevor Ricci’s Sunday Sessions here on Pressure, only 10 years after it’s release!

Thanks to everyone in the chatroom again. Shout to Jeff Vaz over there in Spain. Hope you all enjoyed what you heard.

Been into house music for 20 years now. Lucky enough to grow up in the North of England in the late 80's early 90's. Enabled me to see all the legendary DJs that built the scene. Been DJ'ing since 94. Over the years I've been into most scenes as they emerged, House, US Garage, UK Garage, Deep House, Funky House, Latin Vibes, Chicago Jack and of course the Soulful Vocal stuff. My mixes are a reflection of those styles, usually starting off on a mellow vibe progressing through to the chunky stuff before bringing you safely back down on the other side. The common theme being great quality bottom heavy, shake your ass music. I moved to Sydney on the other side of the world in 2006. It's a great place, but I do miss the house scene in the UK, theres just nothing else quite like it. Hope you enjoy the mixes, as much as I enjoy creating them.
