Hey Everyone,
So this week as the dance world mourns the loss of one of the founding fathers of House, we pay homage to the man & his music by having a party. I have heard a number of tribute mixes this week & whilst they are mostly all good, none of them quite hit the spot for me & having discussed this with several other DJ’s & friends, Frankie influenced & inspired so many, & of that many, most individual experiences vary such that it has become a very personal thing. For some it was the first time they heard a certain track, or a club night memory where a certain track seemed to be on repeat – the list goes on, the memories remain & for me it was all about the craft, the atmosphere & the connection that the man behind the decks created. It is therefore with these elements in mind that I put together this set to suit my personal taste & the feelings I wanted to experience. Yes, it most definately features some classics, although in the spirit of inovation I have tried to use differing versions or add value in some other way to hopefully ensure this isnt just another tribute mix & be something that will stand up in its own right & make you want to dance with a tracklist that goes like this…..
